I consulted Dr. Laflamme for left knee pain. The consultation lasted over an hour, during which Dr. Laflamme explained the origin of the problem and the available solutions in detail. He recommended a unicompartmental prosthesis. I had surgery on December 8. Very little pain after the operation, and by January 14 I had regained almost full mobility with minimal discomfort. Dr. Laflamme and his team supported me before and after the operation, and all my calls were returned within 24 hours, including those where I asked to speak directly with Dr. Laflamme. I wish to express, from the bottom of my heart, my deepest gratitude to Dr. Laflamme for the exceptional care he has provided me. He revised both my hips in 2006 and 2007, and these procedures lasted nearly twenty years — an immense relief after the many operations I had previously undergone (performed by another orthopedic surgeon). Last summer, after a bad fall that worsened the loosening of my prosthesis, Dr. Laflamme had to redo my right hip. This operation was, of all of them, the easiest for me: after only six weeks, everything is wonderful, I have no more pain, and my scar is beautiful. Since he has been caring for me, I feel complete confidence. Beyond his expertise, it is above all his attentiveness, his clarity, his honesty about potential difficulties, his way of taking the time to explain what he sees on X-rays and scans, and his always careful follow-up, that have deeply moved me. I also want to highlight the quality of the organization around his follow-up appointments: wait times at post-operative visits are very reasonable — about two hours for admission, X-rays, and the meeting with the doctor.
